Riders of Rickshire
"Gather every servant of Rickshire who has sworn to defend these lands, to the red haze of death and through pain and glory, for now is the time we Ride out to meet our enemy."
This Horseman who protects the lands of Aeldirmann, and serves the House of Rickshire are collectively known as the Riders of Rickshire, Aeldirmerean Riders, or simply The Riders.
This Calvary unit comes from all Social backgrounds of the land, and serves as soldier, scout, outrider, and messenger throughout Aeldirmann.
The Rickshire House has Ruled Aeldirmann since its founding and has given a chance to those who wished to defend the lands to join the Riders.
Though Aeldirmann is also a main funnel for the Queen's Army, the Riders of Rickshire are still the Dukedoms main force.
They follow rules which many find laxer and often more like a militia than a standing Army. None the less they are a formidable force, and many swear an oath to a lifetime of service, who even long after their days as an active Rider can and will be called back to duty for House, for Kin and for the glory of Rickshire and Aeldirmann.

Costuming & Appearance:
The Riders tabard is for dress occasions only and is a Green tabard with a white Rickshire Horse (one of many), with Officers' tabards are trimmed in gold.
At all other times the Riders will be dressed in appropriate Armor or garb for the day. They often wear a favor or a cloak emblazoned with the symbol of the Riders on it rather then a more formal tabard.
All Riders are very proud of their status as a Rider of Rickshire, and regardless of rank or position being called a Rider is considered an honor. Even once retired these servant soldiers can and are called into action when the defense of Aeldirmann or the need of House Rickshire calls them to muster.
Some Riders use a green Rickshire horse on the Light side of their family Tabard or favor as well.
