Hello, Everyone!
I’m excited to remind everyone that we are nearing Metro-Con!
For the uninitiated, each year at the Tampa convention center, Metro-Con hosts Florida’s largest anime convention. This year’s dates are July 30-August 2nd, 2026! (We also do set up that Thursday) Mythic Adventures Larp participates by transforming one of the Ballrooms into a maze-like dungeon for convention attendees to get a taste of larping! Convention attendees enter, fight monsters, sling spells, and try our game on a small scale; this is one of our biggest recruiting events for the year!
But we need YOU to make it work! That maze doesn’t build itself, or take itself down, and it wouldn’t be very fun without monsters for the convention attendees to battle. So, Metro-con is also one of our biggest volunteer events of the year as well. This is a great chance to get experience points to level your characters, and if you meet the 5 hour requirement get a credit to build an item! (You can read more about those here: https://mythicadventures.org/info/item-credits) If you volunteer for 8 hours, then you get an xp bonus!
Don’t worry, it’s not "all work and no play”, at night, when the panels end, and the rave is going bst bst bst bst and the beat is dropping, we close our doors to convention attendees and put on an adventure ring for our players to go through as well! This is one way to progress story lines, explore new areas, and get that loot! 
Please keep in mind, it is expected that if you sign up to play a character at metro-con for an adventure ring, that you monster during another adventure ring (either at Metro con or Retreat). Day Time Convention Shifts Will Not Count.
